It’s Time to Transcend Monotony

You’ve been working so hard for so long, and you’re not happy with the way things are turning out. You constantly imagine and fantasize about everything you want to do with your life. All the things that you want to accomplish. The countries you want to visit, the people you want to meet, the relationships you want to build. But none of it is happening. Your hopes and dreams aren’t materializing. Why?

You’re too busy with work. Too busy doing things for everyone else, but yourself. Or you’re too caught up in that new Netflix show. You’ve placed your hopes and dreams in the backseat while you live a seemingly lackluster life. Occasionally you think to yourself, “someday ill do those things and everything will change.” But the problem is, you say that to yourself every day, and every year, yet nothing changes. Will is just not enough.

Things aren’t going to magically happen. If you want to achieve something, you need to go out and start doing it. Im not going to sugar coat it and make it flowery. Achieving your dreams is really hard work, but if its going to make your dreams into a reality, the effort you put forth will be absolutely worth it. It might take you few weeks to accomplish it, maybe a few months, or maybe a few years. It may even take a few years just to get the ball rolling, but regardless of how long it takes, the longer you put it off, the longer it will stay in the backseat. Your dreams are going to remain dreams. Things will not change and it’s the perfect way to guarantee that your ideal life never materializes. If that last sentence hurts a little bit, good. That means its time for you to get on it. You are absolutely capable of achieving your dreams. All you need is some structure and some guidance, and then you will be unstoppable.

This is why I created Transcends. I was in the exact same position you are in. I was struggling with the conflict between what I was doing, and what I wanted to do. I would spend so much time imagining how I wanted my life to turn out, but I just didn’t do anything about it. That was until I started reading almost nonstop. I read about 20 books in 3 months. All about personal growth and development. During that period in my life I started asking myself a series of questions, and suddenly it’s almost as if something inside me had awoken. I had epiphany after epiphany, and soon I realized not only exactly what I wanted to do, but how I was going to do it. I setup my goals and the things I needed to focus on, I set a plan of action, and I just started, and I haven’t stopped since. The process works.

I understand the struggle, which is why I decided to create the Transcends app. I wanted to create a tool that can help everyone who is going through these conflicting feelings. I wanted to create something that will help each and everyone of you focus on what you aim to accomplish in life. I want you to transcend monotony. We only have a finite amount of time, so lets make the most out of it. To start your journey towards success and getting where you want to be, this is a good place to start.

Right now I want you to think about what you want out of your life. Think about it long and hard until you can almost visualize the outcome. Write it out. Describe it in as much detail as you can; as if if you were trying to describe it in a story.

Once you have a clear visual, think about how you can create that life. What steps do you need to take for it to happen? What must you absolutely do to achieve your dreams? If you don’t know, or at don’t at least have an idea, that’s okay; do some research. One way to go about it is to find others who have achieved something similar to what you aim to achieve, listen to what they have to say, and try to model their actions. They’ve been there before, so that’s an excellent place to start.

Once you’ve figured out what you must do, these are going to be your mantras. Write them down. This is a crucial step on your journey. You cannot abandon your mantras; they must remain ingrained in your mind. Every day or at the very least a few times a week, actively go through them. Repeat them to yourself, write them down, do whatever it takes. I want you to believe in them so firmly that you almost believe you have achieved those goals already. The point is to adopt the mindset that you would have if you already achieved your goals. The more you work at this, the easier it will be. Doing this, you will unlock an unbelievably powerful internal force. You may not believe me now, but once you have unlocked this force, your personal drive will be off the charts.

Now, once you have an idea of how to do go about your goals, plan it out. Actually write it down. The more you can transform your mantras and beliefs into something physical and concrete, the better it will be for you. You can refer back to it at any time, in fact that’s what I want you to do.

Figure out and create a series of tasks/objectives that you need to complete . Then ask yourself this question: “What can I do right now that will allow me to move forward towards making my dreams a reality?”. Once you’ve answered that, do it. You have to start somewhere, and now is the perfect time.

Why are you still reading? Let’s go and do it! Whatever it is you can do right now to get the ball moving, however small, do it. Right now. It might be a note to yourself. Calling someone for advice. Brainstorming with a friend or colleague. Reading a book. Whatever it is, just do it. Take that step forward, and don’t look back. Use that momentum to your advantage and keep on going.
